Curfew on agricultural machinery and agrochemical services orders new
Patiala, March 29:
In the curfew imposed in Patiala district under the direction of Coronavirus, as per the directions of the Food and Civil Supplies Department of the Punjab Government, as amended by the Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1968, the agro-chemicals and the aquaculture services were also included. In view of this, the District Magistrate Mr. Kumar Amit ordered new exemption in curfew for agricultural tools and agrochemical services. Have been released. The exemption is granted only on the basis that these agricultural machinery services and agricultural commodities will be supplied by the dealers to the landlords’ homes.
As per the orders issued by Mr. Kumar Amit, the Chief Agricultural Officers of Patiala will ensure that all agricultural machinery services including distribution of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and distribution of agricultural machinery continue in the district. But in the meantime, compliance with the protocol rules, masks, sanitization and mutual distance issued by Covid-19 by farmers, dealers and others will also be ensured.
The Chief Agricultural Officer, Patiala, Agro Chemical Dealers will ensure access to the required equipment, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides etc. as needed for the sowing of agriculture. In addition to this, agriculture will also issue the required pass on traffic to wholesale goods from wholesalers to retailers.
